Subscription (10 licenses) to electricity market data and supporting services to enable monitoring and analysis of U.S. electricity markets

Background
The Department of Energy (DOE), specifically the Office of Electricity (OE) and the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), requires access to electricity market data and supporting services for monitoring and analysis of U.S. electricity markets. This need arises from the responsibilities outlined in Executive Order 14262, which aims to strengthen the reliability and security of the United States Electric Grid.

The contract is a sole-source award to Grid Status, Inc., which currently provides these services to OE and CESER.

Work Details
The contract involves a subscription for 10 licenses to Grid Status's platform, which offers essential access to electricity market data and supporting services. The solution must include:
- Standardized, Cross-ISO Data: Streamlined analysis across major U.S. ISOs and IESO.
- Real-Time and High-Granularity Insights: Near real-time pricing, load, renewable generation, and congestion data with visual dashboards.
- Integrated Forecast vs. Actuals: Tracking forecasted vs. actual load, renewables, and demand within one platform.
- Unique Analytical Tools: Tools such as ERCOT 4CP monitoring, battery operations explorer, nodal price maps for congestion analysis, and record trackers for prices.
- Open-Source API: A Python library allowing custom workflows without proprietary restrictions.
- Actionable Context: Human-readable interpretations of market events for faster decision-making.

Period of Performance
The projected period of performance is three years and six months, consisting of a one-year base period followed by two one-year option periods and a six-month extension commencing on December 8, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the DOE's Office of Headquarters Procurement Services located in Washington, DC.
