SUBMARINE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES - N00024-15-R-2101   3

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit Electric Boat Corporation (75 Eastern Point Rd, Groton, CT 06340) on a sole source basis for engineering and technical design services in support of Research and Development (R&D) of advanced submarine technologies for current and future submarine platforms projects. The contemplated contract will also contain an ordering provision for material, prototype hardware, and minor R&D projects. This contract is to provide this effort over a period of five years (one-year base period and four one-year options); Solicitation N00024- 15-R-21 01. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source tinder the authority FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination of the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
