Submarine Hydraulic Motor Assemblies   5

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement to MacTaggart, Scott & Company LTD, Hunter Avenue, Loanhead, Midlothian EH20 9SP GBR for the procurement of Original Equipment Manufacturer hardware components for ten (10) hydraulic motors with integrated brakes for use on US Navy submarines. The Government intends to make an award in the 1st quarter of FY22.

This is part of a follow-on procurement for this requirement.

Pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), MacTaggart, Scott & Company is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy's requirements for the specified effort. The proposed award and resulting contract modifications are for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
