Description

The NIH is seeking executive (senior scientific)-level, industry-experienced drug discovery and development consultants with expertise in Medicinal Chemistry to provide technical guidance to the following programs:

  • Medicinal Chemistry consulting to procure consultant services to provide technical recommendations to the NIH Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Network drug discovery and development programs in the area of Medicinal Chemistry.
  • Other NIH neuroscience-focused drug discovery and development programs.

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking industry-experienced consultants with expertise in Medicinal Chemistry to provide technical guidance for drug discovery and development programs. The goal of this contract is to enhance the NIH Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Network and other neuroscience-focused initiatives by leveraging expert insights in medicinal chemistry.

Work Details
The contractor will provide consulting services that include:

1. Technical recommendations for the NIH Blueprint Neurotherapeutics Network drug discovery and development programs in Medicinal Chemistry.

2. Support for other NIH neuroscience-focused drug discovery and development programs.

The consultant will be expected to engage in regular communication through conference calls and emails, ensuring a collaborative approach to the projects.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is one year, starting from September 20, 2025, to September 19, 2026.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be at the Contractor's site, with communication primarily conducted via conference calls and email.
