Structural Analysis

Background
The 647 Security Forces Squadron (SFS) is located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. SFS requires structural analysis of two buildings (2028H and 3382H) to support the installation of an Air Force funded mission modernization initiative, specifically the installation of Fixed Site-Small Unmanned Air Defense System (FS-SUADS) equipment. The Air Force does not have in-house capability to begin this process.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide structural analysis of two buildings and deliverables to support the installation of FS-SUADS equipment. The contractor will ensure all work products are compliant with applicable Air Force policy, facility design and construction criteria, and necessary codes and standards. The contractor must identify and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes; Air Force/Military instructions; National Association of Corrosions Engineers (NACE); National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); Steel Structures and Painting Counsel (SSPC); National Electrical Code (NEC); Uniform Fire Code (UFC); and International Building Code (IBC).

The contractor will collect, create, review, analyze, store, and present digital information in support of the structural analysis for both buildings. Deliverables will consist of technical reports, presentations, and other electronic work products for use in support of the installation of FS-SUADS on the roofs of each building. Specific tasks include: conducting structural analysis on Bldg 2028H to determine if a 2000lbs FS-SUADS can be supported on the roof; conducting structural analysis on Bldg 3382H to determine if a 1200lbs FS-SUADS can be supported on the roof and attached to a concrete support wall; reviewing FS-SUADS diagrams and plans to ensure structural support can be attained for both units.
