Station Security Cameras Phase 2

The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) requires the services of a consultant to create plan and cost estimate for the second phase of its station security camera program. SFRTA manages the Tri-Rail commuter rail service on the South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC), which traverses Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. On weekdays, Tri-Rail operates fifty (50) scheduled trains with stops at eighteen (18) stations. On weekends and holidays, Tri-Rail operates thirty (30) trains. In 2023, SFRTA plans to open an additional Tri-Rail station in downtown Miami (MiamiCentral Station), by fall of 2023, for a total of nineteen (19) stations. In 2022, SFRTA completed the first phase of its station security camera effort. This placed security cameras on all of Tri-Rail's station platforms. The second phase of this program is aimed at adding security cameras to overhead pedestrian walkways, stairways and parking lots and adding license-plate reading capacity to points of vehicle ingress / egress in station parking areas. SFRTA requires consulting services to perform site surveys of target areas at stations, assess the capacity of existing equipment, produce a project plan based on those surveys and assessments and create an itemized independent cost estimate for the materials and labor necessary to execute that project plan. The CONSULTANT acknowledges that by providing the scope of services described herein, the CONSULTANT is precluded from participating in any team, partnership or joint venture that may be interested in responding to any SFRTA procurement related to the PROJECT.
