Background
The U.S. Embassy in Bangui is seeking qualified contractors for a ramp improvement project at the Deputy Chief of Mission Residence (DCMR). The goal of this project is to enhance the driveway ramp due to recent roadway improvements that have raised the height of the shoulder, creating a steep incline and potential erosion issues.

Work Details
The project includes the following tasks:

1. Repair and extension of the concrete surface area of the driveway ramp.

2. Creation of a lower slope transition from the roadway shoulder to the driveway ramp.

3. Sealing of the roadway shoulder berm to mitigate erosion.

The total area for improvement is approximately 70m2, requiring about 16m3 of concrete, likely necessitating two separate pours for the base driveway and ramp/stormwater construct. Specific construction requirements include:

- Removal of deteriorated concrete/soil surface and replacement with a 15cm thick wire reinforced concrete slab over approximately 60m2 (645ft2) area, using about 9m3 (10yd3) of concrete.

- Pouring a sloped reinforced concrete ramp along the roadway transitioning onto the driveway, covering approximately 15m2 (161ft2) area with about 7m3 (19yd3) of concrete.

- Incorporation of stormwater channels into the concrete ramp as per attached road profile drawings.

The contractor must ensure compliance with U.S. standard construction specifications or equivalent.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 60 days after construction start, which is anticipated to begin on July 27, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Deputy Chief of Mission Residence (DCMR), located in Bangui, Central African Republic.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience in construction, specifically in concrete placement, and must provide three references from similar projects completed within the past five years. If subcontracting any work, subcontractors must also meet these requirements.
