Description

The work includes but is not limited to: fabrication and delivery of Tainter gates, trunnion hubs and yokes, rack and pinion sets, and other appurtenant items for installation; and delivery of all items to Starved Rock Lock and Dam, La Salle County, Illinois.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has issued a solicitation for the fabrication and delivery of Tainter gates, trunnion hubs and yokes, rack and pinion sets, and other appurtenant items for installation at Starved Rock Lock and Dam in La Salle County, Illinois. The estimated contract value ranges between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000 with a completion period not to exceed 900 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP), subject to any additional options exercised as identified herein.

Work Details
The work includes the fabrication and delivery of specific products such as Tainter gates, trunnion hubs and yokes, rack and pinion sets, and other appurtenant items for installation at Starved Rock Lock and Dam in La Salle County, Illinois. The contract also includes an option for barge demurrage. The contractor is required to maintain American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and/or Society for Protective Coating (SSPC) certifications as stated in the specifications.

Period of Performance
Not to Exceed (NTE) 900 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP), subject to any additional options exercised as identified herein. The overall delivery schedule shall not exceed 1827 days if all options are exercised.

Place of Performance
The products are to be delivered to Starved Rock Lock and Dam in La Salle County, Illinois.
