Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Response (SLAM ER) Obsolescence Redesign and Production Effort for Royal Saudi Air Force

Contract action was not awarded competitively. Was awarded on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-4, International Agreement. The Boeing Company was requested by the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer. The obsolescence redesign, production, and initial support of the SLAM ER system will be a sole source with Boeing. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the SLAM ER Weapon System and its related equipment. The Boeing Company alone has the technical data, experience, requisite knowledge, technical expertise, special skills and facilities required to provide the supplies anticipated under these orders. The Boeing Company is the sole owner of technical data for SLAM-ER and therefore is the only responsible source that can meet the Government's requirement.
