Staging/Marshaling Area

Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Defense (DoD) for the Fort Hood Missions at Fort Hood, TX. The goal of the contract is to construct a Staging/Marshaling Area that supports military operations while ensuring compliance with various standards and regulations, including sustainability and accessibility requirements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of several major components: an operations building, loading/unloading docks and ramps, non-organizational vehicle parking, and building information systems.

The project will incorporate Low Impact Development (LID), Best Management Practices (BMP), and sustainability measures, as well as energy-enhancement measures. All designs must comply with DoD Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards. Facilities are to be designed for a minimum life of 40 years in accordance with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02), incorporating energy-efficient systems, integrated building systems, and optimized building envelopes. The contractor is responsible for providing all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to complete the project as specified in the Statement of Work and Design Plans.
