Amendment 1 is to include an organized site vist on 11 February 2025 at 12:00pm Central Time to "Notes to Offerors".

This contract is to remove trees 2.5 inches in diameter and greater at breast height (DBH) from a material borrow source in St. Vincent Township, Minnesota in order to use the area to conduct repairs to the Noyes Levee System. The work consists of clearing trees from the defined borrow area as well as removing all material and tree debris from the site. The site is an old homestead and trees on the site are typical of wind rows and farmsteads, including but not limited to pine, cottonwood and ash.

Background
This contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the purpose of removing trees from a material borrow source in St. Vincent Township, Minnesota. The goal of this contract is to clear the area for repairs to the Noyes Levee System.

The site is characterized as an old homestead with trees typical of wind rows and farmsteads, including species such as pine, cottonwood, and ash.

Work Details
The contractor shall complete the following tasks:
1. Tree Removal: Remove trees that are 2.5 inches in diameter and greater at breast height (DBH) marked with orange paint or ribbon. All debris must be removed and disposed of offsite, with stump heights left between 2 and 3 feet.
2. Traffic Control: Anticipate public safety in the work area; temporarily close roadways if necessary for safety during services, adhering to traffic safety standards EM385-1-1.
3. Transportation: Include all mileage costs for tree removal services and comply with local hauling restrictions and wood transportation laws to prevent pest spread.
4. Disposal of Debris: Dispose of all materials from tree removal; burning on site is prohibited, and debris must be removed within 7 days post-removal, not exceeding specified size limits (1 inch in diameter and 2 feet in length).
5. Permits: Obtain all necessary permits for work completion.
6. Insurance: Maintain minimum insurance requirements including $500,000 liability per occurrence for bodily injury and vehicle liability coverage.

The contract period requires completion of tree removal by April 15, 2025.
