Description

Solicit industrial support for dry dock repair for SRRF - FB 682 barge. Issuance of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated for service and material to perform this work in accordance with specifications in the Statement of Work (SOW)- Attachment I. Quoters are to submit pricing for all materials, dry dock, services, equipment, and labor required to complete the work on the vendor sheet- Attachment II. Service shall take place at the contractor's shipyard.

Because this craft is not considered deep-seaworthy, all work must be performed on this vessel in the San Francisco Bay area, such area to include the up-river areas of Sacramento and Stockton.

Ship Check

All firms intending to submit a quotation should plan to attend site visit. A site visit will be conducted on Aug 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM (EST). The FB-682 is located at Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet, 2595 Lake Herman Road, Benicia, CA 94510. Background
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD), is seeking to perform dry dock repair services for the FB-682 barge, which is not considered deep-seaworthy. The goal of this contract is to ensure the vessel is properly maintained and preserved through necessary repairs and cleaning, in compliance with regulatory standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the following tasks:

1. Provide tug(s), pilotage, and riding crew for moving the barge to the contractor's shipyard.
2. Drydock the barge for inspection, coating, and repairs.
3. Clean the exterior hull and topside using high-pressure fresh water at a minimum of 3000 PSI.
4. Prepare surfaces for coating by abrasive grit blasting to SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast Cleaning standards.
5. Handle hazardous waste generated during cleaning and blasting operations in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is estimated to be from September 25, 2025, to October 26, 2025.

Place of Performance
All work must be performed in the San Francisco Bay area, including up-river areas of Sacramento and Stockton.
