Removal of asbestos in the Security Response Force (SRF) building to include the work areas in the main office, waiting area and bathroom. In addition, external work includes the removal of asbestos in the exterior walls, and application of elastomeric caulking on the windows.
Background
The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region, is issuing this solicitation for the removal of asbestos in the Security Response Force (SRF) building located in Shasta Lake, CA. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe abatement of asbestos-containing materials to comply with health and safety regulations. This project is part of the agency's ongoing efforts to maintain safe working environments and protect public health.

Work Details
The contractor will perform asbestos abatement tasks including:
1. Interior Work: Removal of asbestos from the main office, waiting area, and bathroom within the SRF building.
2. External Work: Removal of asbestos from exterior walls and application of elastomeric caulking on eight windows to prevent water intrusion.
3. Containment: Establish containment around work areas to prevent contamination from dust and debris during removal activities.
4. Asbestos Removal Techniques: Use methods that avoid damaging underlying building materials while ensuring all asbestos-containing materials are removed under negative air pressure conditions.
5. Proper Disposal: All removed materials must be packaged, labeled, and disposed of in accordance with hazardous waste regulations.
6. Air Monitoring: An air-monitoring specialist must conduct final inspections and clearance air monitoring after abatement activities are completed.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is 30 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed.
