This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any responsible source that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS requirement, may submit capability statement. Responses to this posting must be submitted via email to, moyerbr@niehs.nih.gov, by December 10, 2024, 5:00 PM EST.

A determination by the Government not to compete this quote contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government and information received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Background
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), located in Research Triangle Park, NC, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with SPT Labtech Limited for the Reliance Service Agreement. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, which allows for procurement from only one responsible source.

The purpose of this contract is to maintain the operational functionality of the Mosquito robots used in crystallization trials, which are critical for NIEHS scientists.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a service contract for two SPT Labtech Mosquito robots located in the Structural Biology Core. The tasks include:
1) Annual preventative maintenance including calibration and cleaning;
2) On-site repairs within 2 working days;
3) A response time of 4 working hours to inquiries;
4) Unlimited email/phone assistance and remote support;
5) Software updates;
6) Replacement parts; and
7) Labor and call-out charges.

The contractor must ensure that the equipment is maintained in a well-calibrated state to support ongoing crystallization experiments.

Period of Performance
The period of performance includes multiple years: Base Year from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025; Option Year 1 from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026; Option Year 2 from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027; and Option Year 3 from January 1, 2028, to December 31, 2028.
