Speech Therapy for Ojo Encino Day School

Background
The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), part of the Department of the Interior (DOI), is issuing this solicitation to provide speech therapy services at Ojo Encino Day School. The goal is to fill vacant positions for speech and language therapy for special education students, ensuring they receive necessary support as mandated by their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). This contract is set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE).

Work Details
The contractor will provide speech and language therapy services to 20 identified students at Ojo Encino Day School. Services include:
- Conducting speech language therapy sessions two days a week, each lasting eight hours, throughout the school year.
- Evaluating and interpreting results for the IEP Committee.
- Designing and implementing therapy interventions based on individual student needs as determined by the IEP committee.
- Providing teacher consultation services, including daily performance data, goal writing assistance, participation in IEP meetings, maintaining an active roster of students, and submitting progress reports.
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility for exceptional educational placements using standardized assessment tools.
- Attending Multidisciplinary Education Team meetings to present evaluation results and recommendations.
- Submitting quarterly progress notes and therapy logs promptly.

Base Year: August 3, 2026 - August 2, 2027; Option Year 1: August 3, 2027 - August 2, 2028.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be recognized as an Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) and must possess a valid license as a speech-language therapist in the State of New Mexico. Additionally, contractors are required to undergo fingerprinting and background checks approved by the Bureau of Indian Education/Human Resource Office/Personnel Security.
