Background
The Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Division of Acquisitions is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher (SPED) for the Pueblo Pintado Community School. This position has been open for over five years, and the school requires a qualified individual to fulfill academic services and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary educational support to students with special needs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and enhancing their learning experience.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to deliver SPED teacher services at the Pueblo Pintado Community School. Key tasks include:

- Developing individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs and managing documentation through the NASIS platform.
- Preparing daily lesson plans that align with educational goals and standards for both group and individualized instruction.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting IEPs as necessary to ensure educational goals are met.
- Evaluating academic progress through various assessment methods.
- Maintaining classroom control and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Keeping accurate records of student achievements and participating in meetings with parents and staff as required under IDEA.
- Providing compensatory time for students as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from September 5, 2025, to May 22, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Pueblo Pintado Community School located at ¼ Mile E. of #11 Pueblo Pintado, Cuba, NM 87103.
