Description

To provide quality assurance and preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, removal and relocations of POU Laboratory Water Purification Systems, Reverse Osmosis equipment, and leak detectors with shut off valves, as needed, to insure quality and to maintain full operating conditions for all lab water purification equipment at the NIEHS.

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting market research to identify small businesses capable of providing essential services for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).

The goal of this contract is to ensure the quality and operational efficiency of laboratory water purification systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide quality assurance, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, installation, removal, and relocations of Point-of-Use (POU) Laboratory Water Purification Systems, Reverse Osmosis equipment, and leak detectors with shut-off valves.

The contractor is responsible for furnishing all necessary services, parts, and supplies to meet the contract's objectives. At the time of contract award, 196 POU systems and six Reverse Osmosis systems will be covered annually.

The contractor must notify the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) at NIEHS if additional services or costs arise beyond the contract terms. All personnel must be properly trained and experienced in maintaining and repairing the specified equipment types. Workmanship must meet acceptable quality standards and any deficiencies must be rectified at no additional cost upon notification.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the NIEHS location, with on-site processes conducted at the contractor's office located within 10 miles of NIEHS.
