Description

In accordance with FAR 7.107-5, Notifications, Paragraph (c), this notice is being published to notify the public that the agency has determined a consolidation of contract requirements is necessary and justified. See the accompanying Perform Operation and Maintenance with Incidental Repair and Minor Construction in Support of the Defense Health Agency Program at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Determination and Findings (D&F) for Consolidation of Requirements.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District plans to solicit offers for a single stand-alone 'C' type contract to perform operations & maintenance (O&M) with repair and minor construction in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) program at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Fort Cavazos, Texas. The consolidation of requirements is necessary and justified based on market research and analysis conducted by the Mobile District Medical Support Team.

Work Details
The contract will cover activities at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Cavazos, including studies, investigations, designs, repairs, O&M, and construction in support of the DHA program. The work requirements include preventive, predictive, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance of all facility systems and components including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.
The purpose of this acquisition is to establish a highly responsive approach to meet the demanding project requirements of its DHA customer.
The operation and maintenance with incidental repair and minor construction requirement at Fort Cavazos is a single overarching command with multiple subordinating commands located in Bell County, Coryell County, and Bowie County, Texas.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be for a one-year base and three one-year options, for a total of four years.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at two or more discrete sites across the CRDAMC/Fort Cavazos command.
