Southeast U.S. Fiber IRU Operations and Maintenance; UCA Definization Award Notice   2

On 30 Sep 2015, Caprock Government Solutions, Inc., 2235 Monroe St., Suite 500, Herndon, VA, 20171-2824 was awarded a sole source, non-competitive, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract modification for the definitization of a previously approved Undefinitized Contract Action (UCA). The requirement is to provide dark fiber, equipment, and commercial facilities to support Department of Defense (DOD) users in the Continental United States (CONUS). The requirement includes: installation, integration, and testing of Optical Line Amplifier (OLA) equipment, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support in commercial fiber facilities, end-to-end transmission and professional support services inclusive of Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) diversity and resiliency capabilities, system integration, and system upgrades. The face value of this definitization modification is $48,958,064.48, funded by FY15 Defense Working Capital Funds (DWCF). The total cumulative face value of the contract is $50,283,956. Performance will take place within Southeast CONUS, inclusive of the following locations: MacDill AFB, FL, Miami, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Ft. Gordon, GA, Maxwell AFB Gunter, AL, Shaw AFB, SC, Eglin AFB, FL, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA. A notice of intent to award a sole source contract was posted to FedBizOpps on 09 October 2014 and no capability statements were received. The contract period of performance is a (1) one year base period with (9) nine one-year option periods. The current period of performance expires14 June 2016.
