Background
The solicitation is for the design and construction of a high-capacity installation entrance and commercial vehicle inspection station at the South entrance to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona. The project aims to connect on-base Yuma Road directly with off-base South Wilmot Road and comply with Department of Defense Antiterrorism/Force Protection requirements. The estimated construction price range for this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. It is a Small Business Set-Aside Competitive Procurement.

Work Details
The project includes constructing split-face block buildings with reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, standing-seam metal roof system, fire detection and protection, all utilities/lighting, 20-ton air conditioning, site improvements, landscaping, access roads, curbing, sidewalks entrance cover, asphalt pavement, and parking.
It also involves realigning the existing roadway to provide higher capacity/multi-lane entry and vehicle staging/queuing lanes for commercial vehicles.
The project requires compliance with UFC 4-022-01 Entry Control Facilities/Access Control Points.
