Description

The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Middle East District is releasing the following sources sought notice for the purpose of conducting market research. This notice is for constructing the Dive Recompression Chamber, Kuwait Naval Base, Kuwait. This project is a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procurement. Project Scope: The scope of this project is construction of a new single-story steel framed facility with an area of approximately 551 square meters (SM). The facility is intended to house a fixed hyperbaric dive recompression chamber (medical facility) to be installed by others after completion of this project. The facility also includes storage space for a mobile hyperbaric dive recompression chamber (also provided after construction by others). The facility includes approximately 310 SM of interior space constructed as a medical office space to provide consultation, examination, and administrative spaces to support hyperbaric dive recompression procedures. The remainder of the building area (approximately 241 SM) is comprised of high-bay spaces for the fixed hyperbaric dive recompression chamber, compressed air storage (associated with the hyperbaric chamber), and storage of the mobile hyperbaric dive recompression chamber. The scope of work includes utility connections to existing base infrastructure, an emergency generator, a packaged fire pump house with tank, and minimal parking areas. All work under this contract includes all labor materials equipment tools transportation and necessary supplies to construct the features of work described in this document. The tentative Period of Performance (PoP) is four hundred and sixty-three (463) calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) for the entire scope of work. The project is located at the Kuwait Naval Base in Kuwait. The magnitude of construction of this project is between $1 million and $5 million. A pre-solicitation and solicitation announcement may eventually be publicized at the Beta.Sam.gov website. Contractors are responsible for monitoring the website for the announcements and for any posted changes or amendments. Be advised that this is a sources sought notice and is not an RFP, nor does it restrict the Government from utilizing a different acquisition approach to award any or all resultant contracts. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice.
