Sources Sought: Tree Cutting, Trimming, and Removal

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Upper Great Plains Region has identified the need for removal and trimming of a number of large trees (including some in excess of 40 inches in diameter and 70 feet in height) along electrical transmission line right-of-ways in order to provide adequate line clearance and access to the transmission line. The contractor will be required to perform tree trimming and felling functions as needed at any location along the Upper Great Plains Regional Offices transmission line right-of- ways in North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska. (See PWS for Details) In addition, WAPA) has a requirement for Bare Ground Weed Spraying Services in our Substations and Communication Sites (see PWS for Details). Period of Performance is only an estimate of base year. Provide information regarding your company's ability to perform all or any of the above line items in accordance with the attached PWS document. The information should, at a minimum, include background, past performance, and capabilities to provide the requested services in the Midwest. This information will be used to determine our approach to acquire these services using one or multiple GSA BPA awards for the services described in each of the line items. Vendors are encouraged to submit industry standard approaches and ideas to advertising this requirement commonly used in the industry/market for these services. The information in the draft PWS's can be changed by the approaches vendors offer in response to this sources sought notice. Questions regarding this Sources Sought Notice should be sent to M.
