Sources Sought Notification for the Purchase of NETS (National Establishment Time-Series) Data   2

This is a Sources Sought announcement issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Economic Research Service (ERS) for informational and planning purposes only. This is NOT a solicitation, nor is it an announcement for a forthcoming solicitation. Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in providing a response.

ERS has a requirement for NETS Data in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). ERS seeks to purchase business establishment time series data for all the businesses in the United States for use by ERS and all other USDA agencies for research and statistical purposes only. This list should contain business data for all establishments in the United States, from 1990 to 2022.

Responses to this notification will help to determine the acquisition strategy and approach for any future solicitation.

Submission Instructions: Interested vendors are invited to submit a response to this sources sought notification by 5:00 PM EST on December 20, 2023, to the attention of Mr. David Tibbs at david.tibbs@usda.gov. All questions asked shall be submitted in writing to the primary Point of Contract and will be addressed accordingly.

Responses should be no more than 5 pages in length and include the following information:
1. Organization Name;
2. Contact Name, e-mail address and phone number;
3. Organizations UEI number;
4. Business size status for the applicable NAICS code;
5. A statement of capability highlighting the vendor's ability to provide the requested data set, meet the deliverables set forth in the SOW, and perform all other details of the requirement.

Interested vendors are instructed to provide only the data requested. No proprietary classified confidential or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any nonproprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s). Any additional information will not be reviewed by the USDA.
