Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), North Atlantic Division (NAD) is seeking to identify small business facilities or repositories interested in competing for a potential future Request for Proposal (RFP) for archaeological curation services.

The goal of this contract is to curate archaeological collections generated from USACE activities, specifically within the northern region, which includes New England and New York Districts. This Sources Sought notice is intended to gather information and gauge interest in the curation services market, particularly from small businesses.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes:
1. Housing and providing collections management services for archaeological materials and associated records generated by USACE activities.
2. Stabilization, preservation, and transportation of archaeological collections as needed.
3. Compliance with 36 CFR Part 79 standards for curation of federally-owned and administered archaeological collections. Facilities must have the capacity to store a maximum of 150 cubic/linear feet of collections and accept collections that may not meet their curation standards upon delivery.
4. Ensuring access to collections for research and religious use in accordance with 36 CFR 79.10.

Responders must demonstrate capabilities including current space availability, future expansion plans, collection intake procedures, fee schedules, maintenance costs, and professional curatorial staff qualifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a Base Year with four Option Years available at the discretion of the contracting officer.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for performance includes the northern NAD region, roughly encompassing the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the eastern portion of New York.
