The US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) is issuing this sources-sought Request for Information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having the capability to provide forty-four (44) each rugged handheld GPS receivers in accordance with the attached specifications.

Background
The US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for providing forty-four (44) rugged handheld GPS receivers for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements. The goal is to satisfy requirements for tactical handheld GPS receivers for partner nations, specifically Taiwan.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of forty-four (44) rugged handheld GPS receivers with specific capabilities including receiving NAVSTAR GPS satellite constellation L1 and L2 signals, displaying position, velocity, and time, backlit display and keypad, all-weather functionality, internal compass, resistance to jamming and spoofing, and other technical specifications.
Interested parties are required to submit a brief description of their company, solution, ability to meet potential system requirements, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) price and availability information.
