Sources Sought for Life Guard Services and Pool Maintenance at Base Cape Cod, Buzzards Bay MA

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the capability and availability of commercial sources in providing Lifeguard and Pool mechanical systems maintenance at U.S. Coast Guard Base Cape Cod, Buzzards Bay, MA. The US Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) Norfolk, VA is seeking a source capable of providing day-to- day lifeguard services and pool mechanical systems maintenance of seasonal outdoor and uncovered pool for Morale, Well-Being and Recreation (MWR) at Base Cape Cod. The pool measures 35ft x 75ft with depth of 3 1 2 inches. Dates and hours for lifeguard services will begin with the pool opening in June 2018 and last day of the season will be Labor Day. The pool will be open seven (7) days a week, Monday through Friday, 11:00 am through 7:00pm, and Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays 11:00am through 6:00pm. There shall be at least two lifeguards on duty at all times during hours of operation. All lifeguards employed by the contractor shall have an American Red Cross Lifeguard training certification or YMCA Lifeguard certification; and shall be trained by a Certified Pool Operator to take chemical samples or be directly supervised by a Certified Pool Operator. The contractor shall be responsible for opening and closing of pool. The contractor shall provide daily maintenance and operation ensuring pool water is chemically balance; filters are properly backwashed and pump strainer is checked daily; sides and bottom of pool are maintain; hose pool deck on daily basis; and daily clean and disinfects restrooms and deck. There is also a requirement for contractor to provide personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, to maintain operation of the seasonal outdoors pool mechanical systems to include both winterization and de-winterization. The NAICS code will be 713990, with the Small Business Size Standard is $7.5 Million. Any interested firm capable of providing these services is requested to respond via e-mail Kermit.S.Stanbach@uscg.mil by 4:00 p.m. EST on September 13, 2017, to include, as a minimum: Name and Address, point of contact, business size; capability statement; and relevant past and/or current performance, in the last three years for like or similar services, held with the U.S. Coast Guard, other Government agencies, or private industry. Interested firm may also forward any questions regarding information provided, and it will be fully considered in preparation for any resultant solicitation. Individual responses may not be provided by USCG. Interested firm must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33.
