SOURCES SOUGHT, Eglin AFB: Replace AHU’s and Piping

Background
Eglin Air Force Base is seeking sources for a design-build project aimed at replacing Air Handling Units (AHUs) and hydronic piping in their data center. The existing systems have reached the end of their life expectancy, necessitating this project to ensure continued operational efficiency and reliability of the data center.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Design and build removal and replacement of hydronic piping and Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) units.

2. Provision of all necessary services, equipment, tools, materials, labor, supervision, transportation, and architectural/engineering services.

3. Execution of mechanical, electrical, structural, and plumbing work as required. Specific tasks include:
- Removal of existing chilled water and hot water loops to adjacent mechanical rooms.
- Installation of new hydronic chill water loops for all seven CRAC units.
- Removal and replacement of seven CRAC units with all incidental work.
- Installation of electrical systems to support new CRAC units including wiring, breakers, and disconnects from existing Panel 'PA'.
- Development of a phasing plan to maintain operational status during construction with limited cooling shutdowns allowed (no longer than a weekend).

The contractor is responsible for field verification of measurements and counts for the CRAC units and piping.

Period of Performance
270 calendar days covering both design and construction phases.
