The reference number for this posting is N6945027RB794. This is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources that can manufacture and install a fully automated clean shop wet process system and associated equipment.
Project Description:
The procurement for B794 encompasses design, engineering and construction services, along with the integration of personal property and transition services necessary for the renovation of the Cleaning Shop, located within existing B794 at NAS Jacksonville, FL.
New equipment will be integrated and work cohesively as a system. Each cleaning line in the system must be equipped with two bridge-crane-style material transporters that have enclosed canopy-style ventilation with three process lines, programmed to work together. The lines should be compact with less than 6 between each tank. The cleaning lines must have dedicated spray rinse tanks and manual spray cleaning booths that are incorporated into the line. Transporting the components for processing must be done in 3-axis: Vertical (Lifting), Horizontal (Lateral), and Horizontal (Longitudinal). The automated cleaning line shall be a comprehensive system designed to clean aircraft components, record data, and report errors to operators of the system. The unit must operate in limited production space and requires control integration to properly process the needed production.
The contractor must demonstrate experience with this specific type of cleaning lines: compact (width restrictions with tanks being less than 6 apart; ventilation hoods cannot be used with space constraints), fully automated, with canopy style hood ventilation on the material transporter with hard ducting. The cleaning system must work as a unit and be controlled from its own Human Machine Interface (HMI) or a central master supervisory HMI/SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) station that coordinates automated material transporters and line handoffs across all three lines.
Integrated systems are:
- Heavy-duty cleaning lines
- Titanium cleaning line
- Vapor degreasers
- Associated support and ancillary process equipment
The cleaning equipment must utilize a canopy-style hooded material transporter to eliminate the amount of exhaust air. This must reduce the energy consumption of the line to the required level while also improving environmental air emissions. The system must use ducting that does not flex and is not prone to heavy maintenance requirements or fatigue failures.
To maintain consistency, quality, reliability, and deliverability, the equipment for the clean shop renovation should utilize products that have been designed and proven to work in the industry for over 5 years with experience that will allow integration of multiple cleaning products.
