This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement.
This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement, to determine the method of acquisition. Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking to enhance its understanding of the neurobiological factors related to illicit drug use and abuse through the acquisition of two wireless fiber photometry systems.
This initiative is part of the Biobehavioral Imaging and Molecular Neuropsychopharmacology Section's efforts to study the neuronal consequences of drug use and the potential reversibility of neuroadaptations.
The systems will facilitate advanced research involving fiber photometry in rodents, utilizing novel designer reporters developed in collaboration with the NIDA IRP’s Genetic Engineering and Viral Vector Core.
