Description

NOTE: This is a BRAND NAME to one manufacturing ( Sony Electronics). The justification for brand name is included it in the attachments section.

The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire hardware and software support so that VOA may continue to produce live and recorded studio programming with Sony Production Switchers that was purchased to provide Broadcast Quality production switching by VOA Technical Directors while broadcasting across the networks in the USAGM Cohen Building Facility located at 330 Independence Ave. S.W. Washington, D.C. 20237.

Background
The United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is seeking to renew its hardware and software maintenance agreement for Sony Television Production Switcher equipment in order to continue providing reliable performance of its existing equipment for Studio Control Room production switching. The goal of the contract is to acquire hardware and software support so that VOA may continue to produce live and recorded studio programming with Sony Production Switchers, providing Broadcast Quality production switching by VOA Technical Directors while broadcasting across the networks in the USAGM Cohen Building Facility located at 330 Independence Ave. S.W. Washington, D.C. 20237.

Work Details
The contract is for Sony's MAX - Module Advance eXchange Service, which includes warranty service on VOA’s existing equipment for Studio Control Room production switching. The specific models and serial numbers of the equipment are: MVS7000X (Studio 47) 10208, MVS8000X (Studio 52) 10021, MVS7000X (Studio 50) 11031, MVS7000X (Studio 51) 11032, MVS6530 (Studio 48) 10104, MVS6530 (Studio 55) 10101, and MVS3000 (Studio 53) 10111.
The period of performance will be from the date of award for 1 year.
The place of performance for this contract shall be at USAGM headquarters located at 330 Independence Ave., S.W. Washington, D.C., 20237.
