Background
March Air Reserve Base, California is the home to KC-135R and C-17A aircraft. CAD (Computer Aided Drawing/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Software – Software that enables our ability to virtually draw parts (CAD) and generate the complex code (CAM) for our CNC machines to enable our ability to locally manufacture tools and parts for C-17A, KC-135R aircraft and all other base operations we support.

Work Details
Solidworks CAD/CAM Software or Equal that enables the ability to virtually draw parts using Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) tools, generate complex code for Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines, and manufacture tools and parts in-house for C-17A aircraft, KC-135R aircraft, and all other base operations the 452 MXG/MXS supports. Mandatory requirements include 2D and 3D modeling, 2D and 3D tool-pathing for lathe and milling, 3 and 4 axis milling, post processors for HAAS machines VF-4 mill and ST-30 lathe, CAD file conversions (import/export), program updates, user training and support, the ability to operate on a stand-alone computer without Internet connectivity, the ability to continue using if subscription runs out. Follow-on requirements may include paying for software updates in the future. Minimum requirements include technical support - 12 months, software updates - 12 months, user training, software must be proprietary, software must operate on a stand-alone computer without Internet connectivity, software must include 2D and 3D solid modeling, software must include 2D and 3D tool pathing, software must include 4th axis indexing, software must include post processor for HAAS ST-30 lathe and VF-4 Mill.
