Solid Waste Removal & Disposal Services - USMCFP Springfield   3

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Field Acquisition Office (FAO), is seeking to award a contract for Solid Waste Removal and Disposal Services at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) Springfield, Missouri. This requirement is not new, as the current contractor is WCA Waste Corporation. The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective management and disposal of solid waste generated at the facility, supporting the BOP's mission to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Solid Waste Removal and Disposal Services, which include:

1. Monthly rental of one (1) 4-CY Open Top Roll-Off dumpster;
2. Monthly rental of one (1) 40-CY Open Top dumpster;
3. Weekly movement and emptying of a 30-CY compactor from Food Service dock to West Gate area every Tuesday;
4. Weekly pick-up and emptying of the full compactor every Wednesday;
5. Weekly pick-up and emptying of a 42-CY Trans Lifter compactor every Thursday;
6. Weekly pick-up and emptying of a 4-CY Open Top Roll-Off dumpster located at the Lab Building every Thursday;
7. On-call service for a 40-CY Open Top container approximately once a month.

The contractor must ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including background checks for employees working within the secure perimeter.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base year followed by four optional one-year extensions, with an additional six-month extension option available, starting from October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2025, with potential extension through March 31, 2026.
