Description

Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is conducting market research for Solid Waste Disposal (Landfill) Services at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Pollock, located in Pollock, Louisiana.
This requirement is not new, as services are currently provided by Ecology MIR Group, LLC under a contract awarded in June 2021.
The goal of this contract is to ensure proper disposal of nonhazardous waste generated by FCC Pollock.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Solid Waste Disposal (Landfill) Services including:
- Accepting ownership of nonhazardous trash, garbage, and construction debris delivered by FCC Pollock using government-owned vehicles.
- Ensuring that all waste is disposed of in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Documenting the tonnage of waste delivered, with an estimated annual delivery of 1,680 tons.
- Deliveries are expected to occur twice daily on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays.
- The contractor must be certified and/or licensed for waste disposal in Louisiana and adhere to all relevant laws.

Period of Performance
The contract will consist of one base year and four additional twelve-month option years.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be properly certified and/or licensed to perform waste disposal in the State of Louisiana.
They must also demonstrate the ability to provide readily available qualified employees for the services required.

THIS IS NOT A NEW REQUIREMENT Services are currently in place for this requirement. The current incumbent is Ecology MIR Group, LLC. The contract was awarded in June 2021, in the amount of $777,480.00 for one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options. This contract is set to end on September 30, 2026.
