Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for solid waste and recycling services at the Omaha VA Medical Center, part of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (VANWIHCS).

The goal of this contract is to ensure effective waste management and recycling operations that align with the agency's mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials to remove non-infectious waste and recyclable waste from the Omaha Division.

Specific tasks include:
1. Removal of non-infectious waste and non-edible garbage on a twice-weekly basis (Tuesdays and Fridays) using contractor-provided equipment.
2. Providing a safe accessible route for VA employees to dispose of waste.
3. Obtaining all necessary licenses and permits required for the work.
4. Providing various compactor/container units:
- One 35 cubic yard self-contained compactor/container unit for non-infectious waste.
- One 40 cubic yard self-contained compactor/container unit for recyclable waste.
- Additional containers including a 3 cubic yard container for the Fisher House (serviced weekly), an 8 cubic yard container for building 9 (serviced twice weekly), a 20 cubic yard container for the PT building (serviced weekly), and multiple open-top containers serviced intermittently.
5. Maintenance and repair of all provided equipment at no charge.
6. Weight tickets must be provided with monthly invoices.
