Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Southwestern Division (SWD), Galveston District (SWG) is issuing a solicitation for Architect and Engineering (AE) services to support planning, engineering, and construction efforts.

The contract aims to bolster the Civil Works mission area and may extend support to Military and Interagency and International Support (IIS) missions.

Work Details
Tasks under this contract include detailed plans, specifications, design analysis/design documentation report preparation, alternate delivery method proposal development, value engineering, technical reviews for biddability, constructability, operability, environmental, and sustainability (BCOES), documentation for right of entry and right of way, and engineering during construction for both inland and coastal civil works or similar horizontal projects.

AE services will cover areas such as flood damage risk reduction, coastal erosion protection, storm damage risk reduction, beach nourishment, shoreline protection, navigation structures like locks and dams, floodwalls, closure structures, beaches, dunes, coastal structures, dams and levees, pump stations, environmental restoration projects, comprehensive watershed evaluations, infrastructure projects, multi-purpose water resources projects.

The contractor will perform services primarily within the USACE SWG/SWD area of responsibility but may extend capacity outside the SWD AOR for high priority projects.
