Background
The solicitation is issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the Atmospheric River (AR) Whiskey Falls Road Repairs project. This contract aims to restore and maintain the integrity of National Forest Roads that were damaged during atmospheric river events in 2023. The goal is to ensure safe and functional roadways for public use within the Sierra National Forest.

Work Details
The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, incidentals, inspection, quality control, and supplies necessary to repair approximately 128 miles of National Forest Roads. Specific tasks include: grading the road, replacing culverts, installing metal end sections, replacing existing gates, and placing base rock to reconstruct drivable rolling dips that allow for proper runoff to culverts.

The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and municipal laws applicable to the work. Work hours are limited to non-holiday weekdays from 0700 to 1730. The contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary permits and licenses. They must also ensure the security of their tools and equipment at all times and properly dispose of all construction debris off National Forest Land.

The period of performance for this contract is from March 11, 2026, to July 15, 2026.

The construction projects will be performed in Sierra National Forest located at 1600 Tollhouse Rd, Clovis CA 93611-0532.
