Background
The Protective Coatings IDIQ Contract is issued by the Public Works (PW) activities at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington. The contract aims to provide a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor protective coatings construction work on real property at JBLM and other supported organizations. The goal is to support the mission of the agency by ensuring that facilities are maintained in good condition through various protective coating tasks.

Work Details
The contractor will perform a variety of construction tasks related to protective coatings, which include but are not limited to: maintenance and repair work on surfaces such as concrete, stucco, wood, plaster, gypsum wallboard, composite materials, masonry, brick, steel, and galvanized and aluminum coated metal.

The contractor must furnish all necessary materials, equipment, and personnel to manage and accomplish individual Task Orders (TOs). Each TO will specify the exact location of work and may include incidental disciplines required for protective coatings actions. The contractor is also responsible for providing a company representative near JBLM to handle Requests for Proposal (RFPs), negotiate proposals, and manage contract correspondence. Additional responsibilities include moving furniture and equipment as necessary for the completion of work while ensuring minimal disruption to building occupants.

Period of Performance
The base contract has a 5-year ordering period from the date of award during which individual Task Orders will be issued. Each Task Order's performance period will be defined from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) until all work under that TO is complete.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, including sub-installations such as Yakima Training Center (YTC), Fort Worden Cemetery in Port Townsend, WA, and Fort Lawton Cemetery in Seattle, WA.
