Solicitation for NSN 5895016992055UC, Multi-functional Control Display Unit (MCDU)   2

This action is to establish a five-year IDIQ contract consisting of five (5) one-year ordering periods for the Multi-Functional Control Display Unit (MCDU) (P/N CDMS-3829L / NSN 5895-01-699-2055UC) The estimated quantities for each order period are as follows: Ordering Period I 52 ea.; Ordering Period II 55 ea; Ordering Period III 49 ea.; Ordering Period IV 52 ea.; Ordering Period V 52 ea.; Ship To: SW3119 / F.O.B. Origin. Award is anticipated on or before September 2023.

The MCDU acts as a slave terminal for flight management computers and other subsystems on the C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft. Up to seven subsystems can be connected simultaneously to the MCDU. The MCDU provides for aircrew data entry, avionics mode selections, and system status display. The MCDU's interface to the pilot is a pushbutton keyboard and a multifunction alphanumeric display. The MCDU incorporates built-in test for maintenance diagnostics, power up, in flight, and post flight system check.
