Solicitation for Cable installation/removal servic

Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is issuing a solicitation for the recompete of a cable installation, removal, and support services contract for its Headquarters (HQ) campus and surrounding buildings located in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.

The goal of this contract is to ensure efficient communication infrastructure within SSA facilities, which house approximately 15,700 employees and contractors across 22 locations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive cable installation and removal services including:
- Troubleshooting IT communication issues;
- Installation/removal of cable trays and communication support systems;
- Installation/removal of communication equipment such as repeaters, antennas, and wireless access points;
- Removal/replacement of ceiling and floor tiles to access cables;
- Maintaining inventory counts of cables and government-furnished materials;
- Installation/removal of cables for Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone lines;
- Installation/removal of cables for security cameras.

Services will be performed during normal working hours as well as after-hours, weekends, and federal holidays as needed. The contractor must provide management, supervision, labor, building permits, uniforms, equipment, tools, transportation, and communication devices approved by the SSA's representative.

Period of Performance
The contract has a base year period from March 30, 2026 to March 29, 2027 with options for four additional years extending through September 29, 2031.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the SSA Headquarters campus in Baltimore, Maryland and surrounding buildings in Washington D.C. and Virginia.
