Questions Due and Notification of Intent to Propose

Questions are due August 10, 2026, and Notification of Intent to Propose must be received by August 17, 2026, via email by the National Park Service no later than 12:00 P.M. ET on the due dates listed on the cover page which is to William Gordon, Jr., Commercial Services Specialist, at william_gordon@nps.gov.

Submission of a Proposal

In order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract, the Proposal, including that of the Existing Concessioner, must be submitted via the process explained in the Proposal Instructions of the prospectus September 17, 2026 no later than 12:00 p.m. Note that the Offeror's Transmittal Letter must be mailed to: National Park Service, Concessions Office, 100 Alabama Street, N.W., Bldg 1924, 6th Floor, Mailroom, Atlanta, Georgia 30303. The remaining portion of the offer must be submitted and will only be accepted electronically via the process explained in the Proposal Instructions.

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a prospectus for a 10-year concession contract aimed at providing Craft Sales and Retail services at the Northwest Trading Post within the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Work Details
The Concessioner will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Provide Craft Sales and Retail services at the Northwest Trading Post.
2. Collaborate closely with NPS Area staff to successfully complete Component Renewal Reserve projects, ensuring alignment with the goals and objectives of the Area and Director.
3. Develop an annual Concessioner Project Plan and Report (CPPR) that outlines new construction, Major Rehabilitation, and Component Renewal Reserve projects for the upcoming calendar year.
4. Ensure all projects comply with applicable federal, state, and local statutes, codes, regulations, and industry standards, including NEPA and Section 106 compliance.
5. Identify a Construction Supervisor to oversee day-to-day project activities and ensure quality work meets design specifications.
6. Submit project documents for review and approval by the Director, including project statements that detail project scope, justification, estimated costs, schedules, and compliance documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 10 years from the date of award.

Bidder Requirements
