Description

SOLICITATION

Background
The contract is a sole source award for the manufacture of TR-333 Hydrophone Ceramic Elements. The elements are used in the production of TR-333 Hydrophone for the SP24 TRIDENT Navigation Subsystem produced by NSWC-CR. The contract is under the cognizance of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC-CR). The elements are currently deployed in the TRIDENT Submarine Fleet.

Work Details
The contract includes the manufacture of TR-333 Hydrophone Ceramic Elements, Drawing 53711-6029165. The contractor is required to furnish equipment, tools, material, and labor necessary to manufacture ceramic elements per Drawing 53711-6029165 and meet the requirements of acceptance per 53711-6745870. The contract also includes quality assurance/testing, special quality inspection, powder lot certification/testing, powder lot aging golden elements, and special instructions for notification and reporting. Additionally, the contractor is required to provide five golden elements that shall be electrically measured with aging samples.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the delivery orders ranges from 5 months to 11 months after the date of contract or delivery order.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to EDO Western Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT and Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division in Crane, IN.
