Sole Source to NTS Technical System (Cage 1YEH6) for Conduct MIL-S-901D, Heavy Weight Shock Test of the EZT-2785 Transceiver, Mobile Integrated Positioning System for AN/SLQ-48 Mine Neutralization Systems

Background
The contract is a sole source justification issued by the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) for the purpose of awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to NTS Rustburg to perform heavy weight shock testing on EZT-2786 Transceiver, Mobile Integrated positioning system (MIPS II) in direct support of the Mine Neutralization System (MNS). The justification is based on 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B), and citing NTS as the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Work Details
The work includes:
- Preparing a heavyweight shock test procedure
- Receiving and installing the UUT(s) on their fixtures
- Installing accelerometer and pressure gauge to verify shot geometry
- Conducting the MIL-S-901D or MIL-DTL-901E four shot series
- Installing one accelerometer and one pressure gauge
- Removing the UUT(s) and test fixture from the FSP/EFSP
- Removing the UUJT from the test fixtures
- Packaging the UUT(s) for shipment
- Providing all explosives for testing
- Providing all welding rods, bolts, mounting hardware, and preparing Shock Test Report.
