The purpose of this acquisition is to repair and calibrate specific equipment critical to the agency's operations.

Work Details
The requirement includes repairs and calibrations for five (5) Signal and Spectrum Analyzers, part number FSV40-N. These analyzers are essential for the acceptance of products used by the agency. The repairs are necessary due to faults or damage to the units.

The selected vendor, Rohde & Schwarz, is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and has established proprietary rights over these analyzers. Using another manufacturer would necessitate significant software rewrites, hardware modifications, and extensive correlation testing, leading to increased costs and delays in operational availability. Additionally, any alternative repair facility risks non-compliance with Navy MET/CAL calibration requirements, which could result in scrapping the units and incurring further costs for replacements.

Period of Performance
The delivery date for the repaired units is set for July 26, 2025.
