Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center (JSC) has awarded a fixed price contract for a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Simulator (GSS9000 Series) with SimGEN operating software and sustaining services in support of the International Space Station's (ISS) current Space Integrated Global Positioning System / Inertial Navigation Unit (SIGI). This award was made to Spirent Federal Systems, Inc. under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302- 1 (a)(2), which states that full and open competition need not be provided when supplies required by the Agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies will satisfy Agency requirements.
