Description

The ViSR capability at Fort Bragg is the integration of commercial hardware and software into a distinct system. The system provides users remote secure access to U.S. Army's Network Enterprise Technology Command's (NETCOM) Secure Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (SIPRNet) outside of the physical boundaries of a military installation. Prior to the ViSR system, a user could only access the SIPRNet when physically on a Government installation. The system requires registration with the National Security Agency (NSA) and must receive NSA approval prior to implementation.
