Sole Source LifePulse High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV) Ventilators

Background
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Healthcare Contracting Division – West (HCD-W), intends to award a firm fixed price supply purchase order for additional LifePulse High-Frequency Jet Ventilators for use at the 18th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron (OMRS) for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa (USNHO), Japan.

The sole source award is directed to Bunnell Incorporated, which is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the LifePulse High-Frequency Jet Ventilator and associated products. Bunnell has been committed to providing advanced treatment solutions for premature infants in acute respiratory failure for over 35 years.

Work Details
The contract involves procuring the following items:
- 4 units of LifePulse High Frequency Jet Ventilator – Model 204
- 4 units of Extra WhisperJet Patient Box Model 314
- 4 units of Pole Stand Cart
- 4 units of Bracket – hanger for blender on pole stand cart
- 2 units of Durable Shipping Case

This requirement includes all necessary equipment and accessories needed to maintain operations and direct patient care at the NICU. The LifePulse HFJV system is unique and FDA approved, specifically designed for treating infants with respiratory distress syndrome and pulmonary interstitial emphysema, providing significant advantages over conventional ventilation devices.

Period of Performance
Delivery is expected within 6-8 weeks from the time of award.

The products will be delivered to U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, located at Unit 5268 FM5270 McKennon Ave. Bldg 3154 Kadena AB Okinawa-City, Okinawa Japan 904-0203.
