Sole Source - Life Technologies Instrument Service

Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Conservation Genetics Laboratory, has a requirement for maintenance, repair, and technical support of Life Technologies laboratory instruments. This contract aims to ensure the operational efficiency of critical laboratory equipment used in conservation genetics. The Government intends to award the contract to Life Technologies Corporation as the sole source capable of providing OEM parts and factory-authorized service.

Work Details
The contractor will provide OEM maintenance, repair, and technical support for the following instruments: DNA Analyzer 3730xl, QuantStudio 12K Flex OA, QuantStudio Accufill, and other related equipment. Services include parts, labor, travel, annual planned maintenance, priority response times, remote monitoring, and technical support.

The service agreement covers approximately one year from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027 for multiple instruments with specific serial numbers listed in the solicitation.

The contract will be performed over a period from August 1, 2026 to July 31, 2027.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate access to OEM Life Technologies non-consumable parts and factory-level training or authorization to service the listed instruments. Relevant experience maintaining similar Life Technologies systems is also required. Capability statements must be submitted by all responsible sources for consideration.
