Sole source award to Culligan International DBA Consolidated Water Group LLC

Background
The Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) has a requirement for preventative maintenance and sustainment services for the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment System located in Building 2210 aboard MCLB Albany, Georgia.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the continued operation of the water treatment system, providing a reliable source of treated water to support mission requirements. The Government is awarding a purchase order to Culligan International DBA Consolidated Water Group LLC on a sole source basis due to their status as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sole authorized service provider for the Culligan RO system installed at MDMC.

Work Details
The contract includes the following tasks and services: monthly system performance evaluations, annual water analysis, replacement of consumable items such as salt, pre-filters, and RO membranes, and associated maintenance necessary to maintain system reliability, optimize performance, and reduce the likelihood of major system failures.

The service contract covers scheduled preventive maintenance, filter replacement, system inspection, performance testing, and emergency repair services necessary to maintain the RO system in proper operating condition.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is requested to begin 60 days from contract award for a duration of one year.

Place of Performance
Building 2210 aboard MCLB Albany, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Only bidders who are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or authorized distributors or technical representatives for the OEM are eligible. The required service must be performed by Culligan as they are the only responsible source capable of providing the required service contract without material risk of cost increase, extended downtime or performance degradation.
