Software Maintenance Requirement

This contract opportunity is for the purchase of an annual SAS software maintenance for HQ AFRC licenses. The agency requires annual maintenance to ensure they receive updates, patches, and technical support for the software they own. The manufacturer SAS Institute Inc (SAS) is the sole provider for annual maintenance on the software they built, and Executive Informations Systems, LLC (EIS) is the sole authorized reseller for this software. The agency has purchased annual SAS software maintenance numerous times in the past 6 years, and each time it was determined that there are no other sources for this particular purchase.

The work involved in this contract includes purchasing an annual software maintenance agreement to receive software patches, fixes, and new versions to ensure compliance with network security requirements and compatibility with changing information technology systems. The contract is a firm fixed price purchase for a 12-month term. The agency has been continuously evaluating evolving technology solutions that could potentially replace or compete with SAS analytics software, but so far, no other viable options have been found that can provide the same functionality as the software purchased by HQ AFRC.
