Sodium Hypochlorite IDIQ Contract - Washington Aqueduct   3

Background
The Washington Aqueduct, part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is responsible for providing drinking water to the District of Columbia and surrounding areas. This contract aims to furnish Sodium Hypochlorite, a chemical used in water treatment processes at the Dalecarlia and McMillan water treatment plants (WTPs). The goal is to ensure a reliable supply of this essential chemical while adhering to industry standards for safety and quality.

Work Details
The contractor will supply Sodium Hypochlorite conforming to ANSI/AWWA Standard B300 and certified to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 60. The projected maximum annual quantities are 1,100 tons for Dalecarlia WTP and 900 tons for McMillan WTP, totaling a maximum of 10,000 tons over the five-year contract period. The minimum quantity required is 3 dry tons. Delivery load sizes should not exceed approximately 45,000 pounds or 4,900 gallons.

The contract includes the following items:
- Year 1: 1,100 Dry Tons (Dalecarlia), 900 Dry Tons (McMillan)
- Year 2: 1,100 Dry Tons (Dalecarlia), 900 Dry Tons (McMillan)
- Year 3: 1,100 Dry Tons (Dalecarlia), 900 Dry Tons (McMillan)
- Year 4: 1,100 Dry Tons (Dalecarlia), 900 Dry Tons (McMillan)

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the Washington Aqueduct located at 5900 MacArthur Blvd NW, Washington DC 20016-2514.
